Dear Michael and Nicola
I would like to say thank you for the memorial stone you provided for my late wife Jill. Not only is the workmanship exquisite and the stone exactly what my daughter and I wanted but the way in which you both dealt with me was lovely. The communication was excellent and Nicola’s kindness and patience made a very emotional task much easier.
I live in New Zealand and wanting a headstone for my sons grave in the UK I asked Gidlow Stone if they would do this for me .The service I received was exemplary from ordering and choosing ,to viewing the finished product to placing on the grave .I cannot recommend enough ,thank you .
Choosing the wording for the memorial stone was the hardest thing I had to do following the death of my husband; but it had to be right, it was going to be there for a very long time.
As soon as I saw the blue stone, I knew that was the one I wanted (his favourite colour was blue). I suggested the wording to Nicola and she agreed that the wording was lovely.
When it was typeset, I asked for changes to the font size and to the layout, which Nicola accommodated without question.
Before final confirmation I asked to include a design of two entwined hearts, Nicola found the perfect image, exactly what I had in mind and again accommodated my design change and the positioning on the stone. Nothing was too much trouble, I didn’t feel pressurised to make a decision too hastily.

We placed Ian’s ashes in Gidlow Cemetery last Saturday. I had seen the headstone earlier but the family only saw it on the day. They were really pleased with it especially the cap badge you took so much care over. Thank you once again for you excellent work
The design I chose for Ian’s headstone was complicated as it included an Army badge. You did a brilliant job with it and I know you spent a lot of care making sure it was right. I cannot thank you enough and will recommend you to anyone needing a great stonemason.
